• Complete Skill Set 3 videos at lynda.com ("Introducing Illustrator," listed in the Ai Training Tab
• Watch all the pen tool videos in Skill Set 4 chapter called "Working with the Pen Tool"
• Complete the Pen Tool Exercises 1 & 2 which you will find on the student server in the folder "Dr. Hanger's Course FIle." (You need to unlock the layers first.(
• Begin Practice 4--

Practice Four (P4): 

• Download and follow the instructions below for tracing an object in Illustrator:
  

  • Download "How to trace a photo in AI" 

  Using the pen tool (in Illustrator), trace an object in a photo to create a silhouette or contour drawing (using paths and strokes). Use the fill function then to make parts of your image different values or colors. Load your finished work in the student drop box for a grade. (2 pts)
