The 38th Annual Miami Watercolor Society Spring Exhibition March 8 – 25, 2011
The show will be juried by Teresa Kirk, a watercolor and mixed media artist who is a signature member, and past President and Director of the Florida Watercolor Society, and signature member and acting Workshop Chair of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society, as well as a member of several Florida art guilds. Ms. Kirk is also an instructor and demo artist.
Works from 40 artists will embody many forms of watermedia in a wide range of styles. This exhibition is one of two exhibitions held by the society every year.
The Miami Watercolor Society has been in existence since 1974 with a membership around 130. It is made up of locals and “snowbirds”, and includes amateurs, professionals, and students. MWS is a volunteer based, culturally diverse, non-profit organization. Many members are also members of the Florida, and National Watercolor Societies and many have won a myriad of local and national awards.
