Weston Composition Scholarship
Open to University of Miami Art and Art History majors
Current sophomores and juniors are eligible with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
Weston Insurance is looking for works of art for their offices: students can apply for this scholarship opportunity by sending a sketch using any 2d media (painting, graphic design, photography, printmaking, etc.) on letter sized paper:
13 of these will be selected to be developed into larger works for which each student will be given $500 to cover their time and the materials cost.
The 13 finalists' artwork will become the property of Weston Insurance. The submitted artwork must be appropriate for a place of business (no nudity, for instance) but can be of any subject matter.
The company will vote in the Spring to give one of the finalists a $5000 scholarship. Students may enter up to two works each.
Questions should be directed to Lara Gonzalez at lara.gonzalez@weston-ins.com
Preliminary sketches should be emailed to her. Weston Insurance is located at 2525 Ponce de Leon, Suite 1080, Coral Gables FL 33134
For an application, see Dr. Hanger
