Practice 3 Instructions: Create an Icon
(This is a short assignment we will work on together in class.)
Create a drop-background image using the instant alpha masking function in iWeb and save it as the icon for your own work folder in the Student Drop Box on Server #8.
The purpose of this practice is to begin to understand how simple masking works (and to learn that there are other design programs out there by makers other than Adobe).
Find an appropriate (large) image with a simple background where an object is well centered and shown complete (no portion cropped out of the frame). Using iWeb’s mask functions drop out the background to create an icon, then set the icon as the image for your folder on Sever 8 with your name. (This folder is where you will store all completed projects for evaluation and work in progress.)
(For this practice, you will be evaluated on choice of image, skill with masking, aesthetics, and the clarity/resolution of the final product.)
    THURSDAY                                                                                                         .
