Changes to Final Grade Distribution

Since Assignment #9 was removed from the list of assignments you need to complete for ART109, the percentage points will need a little redistributing:

ID Practice #7, the newsletter tutorial, will now be worth 5 points. Complete the tutorial as is and earn all 5 points. Add a bit of your own finesse to it and make type/image changes and you can earn extra credit, but THIS IS NOT REQUIRED, so you should finish the Concert Poster and get started on the Self-Promo first.

Assignment #8, the concert poster is still worth 10 pts.

Class Participation, formerly worth 3 points, is now worth 10 points and I will post those grades today in Blackboard. The grade is calculated based on your attendance, participation in critiques, diligence in keeping up with the video tutorials, and willingness to assist others in class.

The Self-Promo, Assignment #10, should be emailed to me in PDF form no later than Friday at 8pm and is still worth 10 points.

Lab Availability
Today, Wednesday, is the last day of class, but the Lab will be opened tomorrow at 8am as usual. If no one arrives by 9:15 it will be closed and locked and you will be unable to get in. (You might ask around and designate someone to come and "hold your spot." Our technical director must leave tomorrow at 9:15 and doesn't want to leave the equipment exposed unless someone is here working. You can stay as late as you need, as long as you close the door to lock when the last person leaves (and leave the light on).

Friday the lab will be opened at 8am and will remain open until I leave at 1 (or until the last student leaves and locks the door).

This summer session has been a great experience for me and I hope educational for you. I was surprised at how hard you all worked every day and the talent that you exhibited. I wish all my classes were this diligent and skillful! Enjoy the rest of your summer and maybe I will see you on campus in the fall.
